3 Boys and a Mom - Diary of a Tagteam

ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG It it isn't one thing it's another!!!!

1st off - I DIDN"T pass emissions AGAIN!! I am gonna replace the Coolant Temp Sensor, EGR Valve and a few filters - HOPEFULLY that will solve the problems with emissions AND the occassional spike of temp guage....

THEN my phone is in the final throes of death - I can no longer gerry rig the charger plug to get the battery to charge SO I finally broke down and took it to SPRINT to look at... YES I can get it replaced - for FIFTY dollars!!! Seems there is "water damage" aka internal corrosion, which can be from anything from liquid pouring on it to the moisture in air to the baby chewing on it... OR gee folks you think the fact that it's 2.5 yrs old AND it was a basic model MIGHT have something to do with it??? SOOOOO since I was more then eligible for the rebate on a new phone anyway I went ahead and got a new one for $39.99 PLUS a friggin accesories pack... Whatever - I needed the phone as most of the schools, etc have that number to reach me.... Now I am roped into SPRINT for another 2 yrs - actually it's only 18 months more....

And FINALLY to finish out the day - the driver's side wiper DIED on me on the way into work during a RAIN STORM!!! Deven found it totally hilarious that the wiper was going all askew and spazzing out on me.... I am NOT happy - how am I supposed to drive??? And WHY does it have to happen on a payday that I did NOT have the $$$ to spare???? ARRGGGGGGGGGGGG ANYWAY I will be leaving a bit early today to have the car place look at my wiper HOPEFULLY we can fix it cheaply and quickly.... Everyone keep their fingers crossed and say some prayers... Things HAVE to work out cause I don't think they can get much worse...

On a POSITIVE note - Ethen had a great first day at the new sitter/daycare and mom passed her drug test so she should start working for the cleaning people very soon!!!!

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!! And even a little Ding Dong the Witch is Gone, the Witch is gone... Ding Dong the wicked witch is gone!!!!!!! (ok maybe I shouldn't sing! *L* But man am I happy!!)

He's GONE!!! GONE GONE GONE and no I don't need an alibi and you won't be seeing an expose on me on America's Most Wanted or 20/20 as much as I would have LOVED to have rid us of him permanently he's merely relocated.... Now to delouse, santize and disinfect the back bedroom and bathroom and make it all girly again!!!!! Well as soon as I am done here at work! *LOL* Til next time....

Yet AGAIN we have added to the financing of the new wing at the local hospital! *LOL*  Sunday afternoon Dilen decided to try to ride without hands OR helmet (GRRRRRRR) and the pavement rose up to meet him....  He's fine although scraped and bruised...   The scab is shrinking and the swelling has now decreased even more but the bruising is becoming more obvious... I"ll have to try to snap a new pic today, these are from Monday and Tues.... 

Not much else happening at the moment...  I DID have the annual IEP review for Deven yesterday which went well - he's doing very well in Math and Science in the main stream so far...  I even got to sit and audit his Math class...  I was VERY impressed with him - he answered a question out loud and when the noise and commotion started to rise he continued to work on his paper and finish....  THAT is a MAJOR thing for a child w/ADHD to NOT become distracted....  I am told he is almost always that attentive in class which makes me happy...  Tonight I have his Parent Teacher Conference and will get is his report card - all should be great with that too!!!

Ethen is doing wonderful - enjoying his veggies and crawl scooting everywhere - he is also pulling himself up on EVERYTHING - this child will be taking off like a jet soon I can just see it....

Our weather is finally starting to turn and reflect the fact that it's mid Nov - we will be caulking the INSIDE of windows for the next week in the evenings just to ensure that we stay warm and cozy all winter....  The light at the end of the stress tunnel is supposed to be burning brightly tomorrow and I am sooooo excited about that!!!!  The word is that Mr Asshat will be relocating tomorrow after he gets a paycheck....  WOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO I can't wait to post all about that!!!!   Til next time....

So I am working my way thru the window caulking outside and will start the inside ones soon so that we can be toasty warm this winter.... But I also will put the plastic over the windows.... Well to accomplish my little household chores I needed a few things - I picked most up at HD but then I forgot staples for the gun so I had to go back - I HATE having to return to a store after I have been there so I have been putting it off for a few days... Today since I was out picking up lunch I decided to stop down the street at the new Lowe's that opened up... You know I am NOT impressed - not one tiny bit.... I have read that Lowe's is more female friendly and less warehousey - yeah RIGHT!!!!! Our Lowe's must be the exception to the policy cause it looked almost IDENTICAL to the HD just different colors.... AND they didn't even have my staples to boot but I know HD does!!! So I guess now that my curiousity has been satisified I won't be going back there unless it's a really good sale AND I have a few extra $$$ to spare.....

First I must baby brag... My littlest man is just a-movin' and a-shakin' that boy is all over the place now... He's just too cute too when he sits up... First his butt goes way up in the air as he does a tripod looking stance with feet and hands on ground then he gets to his sitting position via a quick hop onto one hip.... He's also pulling himself up on EVERYTHING - that boy is gonna be walking before I know it... UGH I am not ready for my little man to grow so fast.... and he's just sooo darn CUTE!!!!

Now an update - Dilen did WONDERFUL with the oral surgery Weds... He was a little tough to knock out as he fought the face mask for the gas but they got him down and out... An hour and half later he was in recovery... He was a little TICKED when he woke up - complained he was dizzy and about his mouth being numb - "MOM why did you let them put my teeth to sleep, you know I don't like that, why didn't you tell them not to put my teeth to sleep?" (of course imagine that in an angry, half asleep, half crying whine) then he realized the pulse thingie was on his finger and the IV was in the back of his hand and it was "GET IT OFF!! I don't want it on!!!!" *sigh* needless to say it was a rough few minutes while he was still groggy but we survived... Up in the Pedi Day Stay room he got a couple Slush Puppies (frozen ICEE type drink) and 2 plain donuts and some apple juice... Plus they had a Dreamcast so he got to play some games.... An interesting note is how quickly the nurses picked up on the fact I didn't have Ethen with me when I went to recovery as I had had him with me when Dilen went into surgery... I am sure there were TONS of whispers and confiding about me til I was asked by Dil's nurse "They said you had a baby with you, where is the baby?" I told them Daddy came to get him so I could come into recovery.... THEN it dawned on me - they were worried I dumped Ethen somewhere or left him alone somewhere or such... Nice to know that they are looking out for children that way.... Needless to say the next few times I was asked I merely commented "I sold him to pay for today's surgery!".... THANK GOD the Pedi Day Stay staff and other parents had a sense of humor like me! *LOL*

Overall Dilen is feeling just fine and although he is on a soft diet for a few days he seems to be just fine and without any limitations from discomfort or pain.... I will have to get a shot of his shiney new teeth and post it.... Me?? I am tired and now sick... Fighting off the flu and/or some sort of nasty upper respitory thingie that has my throat sore, my voice very deep and froggy and my head stuffy to the point of pain... UGH!!! BUT I am relaxing at work today and enjoying having a little quiet time to myself... Tomorrow we have Karate and Dilen was invited to a BD Party for a classmate and then Sunday we have another party that both boys were invited to.... Busy weekend....

Ok first I have to say there is NOTHING better then being woken up by the sweet singing of a 6 mo old... I could just listen to Ethen sing and coo away all day.... What a joy he is and the smiles he gives brighten my day...

2nd - Man how do people keep up on all the blogs they read daily??? I find I can't get to them weekly sometimes let alone daily... of course there are other days when I am at them repeatedly but that's not THAT often lately... I am soo far behind that I visited 2 blogs that used to be top list favs for me and they are gone or on hiatus.... *sigh* I feel sooo out of touch lately...

3rd - got the confirmation call - Dilen is to arrive at the hospital tomorrow morning at 9:30 for his complete oral rehabilitation... He will be having 4 fillings, 3 root canals and 8 stainless steel crowns/caps done under general anthesegia (sp?) tomorrow... HOPEFULLY that will be the LAST of the dental work he will need done for a LONG LONG time cause A - it's costing us a TON, this round is 2700 (1300 up front!), B - it's emotionally draining knowing that we have to go to such measures because the kid is soo afraid of needles, etc...

Lastly - man I am exhausted and I don't feel like I really got ANYTHING done around here at all!!! I know I am busy all day at work but I don't think I am really doing ANYTHING - just spinning wheels.... Atleast it seems that way from looking at my desk - it's a pigsty of sorts so surely I can't have done anything - my desk would be cleaner/neater if I had right???? And ohh look - it's time to go! *LOL* I'll try again on Thurs when I am back here.... Right now I am going home to play w/the boys!!! Til next time....

I sent them both off to school on a lovely Sept day - one to Kindi (again!) and one to 3rd Grade -- both to new schools and they have been doing very well!!!

Dilen celebrated his birthday with Chuck E... Momma does NOT enjoy CEC that much anymore... *LOL* Ethen on the other hand seems to enjoy driving already!!!! Oy Vey!!! Overall we had a fun time....

The boys went to a real NASCAR race back in July and had a blast!!!! Not sure if I ever shared the pics or not...

We had a blast for Halloween this year - of course Ethen was the traditional tomato that all must be that 1st Halloween... I especially enjoyed that we had such wonderful weather that we could really show off our costumes and not buy 3 sizes larger just to get over the winter clothing...

WOW It's been a while... There is soo much going on... I am dealing with asshat and working extra hard to extricate him from my life and house.... The end of tunnel is Super Bowl or sooner - hopefully sooner... In the mean time Mom is back and sooo much help... For all the crap and the tiff we had over a year a go she is still my mom and a god send... Honestly it's like having a wife which I guess is what I needed right now - someone to help with the laundry and cooking and cleaning.... I just got word that I have a spot for Ethen in daycare with a home provider and he will start on the 21st... Mom had a job interview the other day and is applying for more... The boys are growing in leaps and bounds and I have just been busy busy... More tomorrow I promise INCLUDING pics.... Til next time...
